In a data center the electricity and telecommunication cables are often routed under the raised floor. If the cooling system is based on a cold air blowing from under the floor, the air pressure will collapse because of the cabling holes. In this case, functionality of the cooling and cold airflow distribution becomes weak and cooling power of some corner areas is then insufficient (hotspot).
Koldlok products, which look like round or square grommets, are used to prevent air escaping through the seal and to keep the air pressure under the raised floor within the planned values. Grommets allow the cables to pass through and they are squeezed slightly from different directions and same time the flow of air is prevented.
